Senior Java Software Engineer -Aerospace Systems

As aJava Developer withstrong hands-on software development experience, particularly inembedded systems, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions for complex and safety-critical systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust, high-quality software throughout the full development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications for complex software systems.
• Knowledge onPython 
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment, in accordance withDO-330 andDO-178C
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following software engineering best practices.
• Contribute to software architecture, design reviews, and code reviews.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software performance.
• Collaborate with systems, software, test, and quality engineering teams.
• Contribute to technical documentation and software lifecycle artifacts.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience inJava software development.
• Strong hands-on experience inPython.
• Experience developing software forembedded or real-time systems is strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of object-oriented design principles and software engineering best practices.
• Good understanding ofDO-330 andDO-178C software lifecycle processes
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and modern development tools.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks and software verification practices.
• Familiarity with Linux-based development environments is an asset.
• Candidates with aVerification & Validation (V&V) background may also be considered, provided they possess strong embedded systems knowledge and demonstrable software development experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required.  Dual citizenship should be disclosed.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
