DO-178 Software Engineer

As aDO-178 Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development and verification of embedded software in compliance withDO-178C guidelines for safety-critical avionics systems.

You will work closely with system engineers, software developers, and certification specialists to ensure compliance with aviation safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software forreal-time avionics systems
• Participate in the full software lifecycle in accordance withDO-178C
• Produce and maintain certification artifacts (plans, standards, and lifecycle data)
• Performsoftware verification and validation activities (reviews, unit testing, integration testing)
• Contribute totraceability between requirements, design, code, and tests
• Supportcertification activities with authorities and customers
• Participate in technical reviews and audits
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (systems, hardware, quality, safety)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inComputer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
• Experience inembedded software development
• Good understanding ofDO-178C software lifecycle processes
• Experience withC or C++ programming
• Knowledge ofsoftware verification activities (unit testing, integration testing, structural coverage)
• Familiarity withrequirements management and traceability tools (e.g., DOORS or equivalent) is an asset
• Experience with avionics certification environments is a strong asset
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative engineering environment
