Role Description:
We are seeking experienced Software Data Engineers with 10+ years of relevant experience to support the design and development of a strategic data platform. The role will focus on building scalable data solutions, developing cloud-based data platforms, and supporting data strategy initiatives.
Role Objectives
- Work as part of a Data Strategy team supporting the development and implementation of a strategic data platform.
- Contribute to the active development of a data platform, beginning with reference data systems for securities and pricing data and expanding to additional data domains.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and data teams to design, develop, and implement data solutions.
- Follow established development standards and contribute to data platform engineering initiatives.
- Design and implement solutions using cloud-based data services and modern data engineering technologies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Full-stack Python/PySpark development experience.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with strong Azure Cloud experience.
- Hands-on experience implementing solutions using:
- Azure Cloud Services
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2
- Azure Database Services
- Azure Data Fabric
- API Gateway / API Management
- Azure Functions
- Strong experience with Azure Databricks.
- Strong SQL skills with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience developing APIs using FastAPI or similar Python frameworks.
- Familiarity with the DevOps lifecycle, including Git, Jenkins, and similar tools.
- Experience with CI/CD processes.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes.
- Financial services experience, including familiarity with financial instruments, asset classes, securities, pricing data, or market data, is a plus.
