In your new role as our Area General Manager Food Services , you will lead and direct multiple teams through their daily activities. Your role will include arranging all food services across multiple locations ensuring client satisfaction. Â
- You will lead your team through food safety training and lead a strong safety culture within a very high volume food service environment within a Corrections facility
- Provide formal supervision to employees, monitors the training and development of staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Schedule and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
- Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetingsÂ
- Perform facility inspections quality assurance following physical and food safety regulations.Â
- Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
Qualifications
- Post secondary education, ideally in business management, hospitality, facilities coordination, Environmental Services. Equivalent experience and education may be considered.
- You must be able to complete a Criminal Record Check as well as Vunerable Sector check as well as Provincial Government Security Clearance
- Minimum 5 – 7 years in similar or progressive roles in hospitality, guest services and cateringÂ
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing safety programs, return to work/modified duties programs and strong familiarity with WCB/COR Audits and other related safety programs
- Minimum 5 -7 years in progressive leadership, supervisory, and managerial roles.
- High level of proficiency in MS office suite applications
- Project Management & Project analysis:  Ability to read, analyze, interpret and forecast a project’s cost reports and determine the status of the job regarding schedule and costing
- Strong financial management experience; budget creation, forecasting, interpreting financial data (profit and loss statements)
- Ability to pass both a standard background check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Valid drivers license
