The Opportunity

On behalf of our client, a highly respected organization based in Brussels, we are looking forData Management Assistants to join their data division on a freelance basis. We are currently recruiting for multiple roles across all seniority levels (Junior, Medior, and Senior).

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring data assets are high-quality, secure, and compliant. You will bridge the gap between technical requirements and business teams to foster an institutional data culture.

Your Responsibilities

  • Data Lifecycle & Quality: Assist in defining, executing, and monitoring Data Lifecycle Management (DLM) procedures to maintain data quality and consistency.

  • Compliance & Security: Ensure alignment with GDPR regulations and organizational information security standards across all data activities.

  • Business Requirements: Connect with business departments to collect, analyze, and document business-side data requirements.

  • Data Governance: Implement and uphold modern data governance frameworks and internal data processes.

  • Stakeholder Facilitation: Coordinate with external stakeholder groups and lead/participate in working sessions.

  • Training & Enablement: Facilitate data literacy training and workshops to raise awareness and competence across departments.

Your Profile

  • Experience: Opportunities are open forJunior (1+ year),Medior (3+ years), andSenior (10+ years) profiles. The scope of leadership and team direction will be aligned with your level of seniority.

  • Key Technical Competencies:

    • Proven understanding ofData Lifecycle Management (DLM) and structuredData Governance processes.

    • Hands-on knowledge ofGDPR compliance andinformation security standards.

    • Strong ability to gather, translate, and document complex business needs.

    • Experience infacilitating training sessions or workshops.

    • For Senior profiles: Proven experience leading external stakeholder teams and driving complex data initiatives.

  • Communication & Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, excellent active listening skills, and the ability to interact with both business users and technical teams.

  • Languages: Dual proficiency is required: fluent inEnglish (3/4) paired with professional proficiency in eitherFrench orDutch (3/4).
