Learning & Development Lead, Smartvatten Academy

We are now looking for aLearning & Development Leadto join our team in

Espoo, Finland or Larvik, Norway

and take ownership of leading Smartvatten Academy content, developing impactful learning solutions that support both our people and our business growth.


What this role is about

Learning & Development

  • Own and drive the end-to-end development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Smartvatten Academy, including training content, learning paths, and documentation.

  • Ensure all learning initiatives are aligned with company strategy, key competencies, performance goals, and core values.

  • Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify capability gaps and design high-impact, scalable learning solutions.

  • Act as a coach and facilitator, delivering selected training sessions and coordinating internal and external trainers when needed.

  • Lead the internal Education Board, a cross-functional group responsible for shaping and supporting learning initiatives.

  • Build and nurture a strong learning culture that promotes continuous development, collaboration, and innovation across the organization.

  • Create engaging and inclusive learning experiences that reinforce company culture and employee growth.

Internal Communication related to learning and development

  • Support internal communication related to learning initiatives and training opportunities.

  • Maintain the intranet as a hub for learning content and documentation.

  • Ensure visibility of key trainings and development initiatives across the organization.


To succeed in this role, you’ll need

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Education, HR, Organizational Development)

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, with a strong focus on Learning & Development

  • Proven experience in building and scaling learning programs

  • Interest in and understanding of LMS platforms and modern learning tools inc. AI assisted tools

  • Experience working in an international environment

  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills

  • Proactive, structured, and hands-on approach to problem-solving

  • Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities

  • Fluency in English
