Timber Analyst

The Luxembourg facility plays a key role in the sourcing and processing of wood and recycled materials for our industrial operations.

Kronospan is a global leader in the production of wood-based panels, serving the furniture, interior design and construction industries. At our Luxembourg site, we are looking for aTimber Analyst to join our team and support the analysis and reporting of timber, recycling, production, stocks and operating costs.

Your Responsibilities

As a Timber Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring and analysing financial and operational data related to timber, recycling and production activities.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Analyse the financial situation of products, customers, suppliers and production activities.
• Review standard costs against actual costs and identify significant variances.
• Monitor daily profitability and prepare regular management reports.
• Analyse timber and recycling consumption and perform regular reconciliations.
• Monitor stock movements, stock valuation and inventory levels.
• Organise and follow up monthly stocktakes for inventory and spare parts.
• Prepare timber reconciliation and consumption reports.
• Analyse production-related reports and explain the main cost and performance variances.
• Calculate and allocate indirect costs to production and products.
• Monitor maintenance and factory services expenditure and prepare related reports.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and production-related financial analyses.
• Prepare contribution and results analysis reports for management.
• Ensure the consistency and accuracy of data inKSoft+.
• Prepare reports and information required by management, Group functions, Statec and other authorities.
• Support the preparation of reports related to recycling, energy, CHP consumption and the circular economy.
• Provide production, stock and cost-related information during internal and external audits.
• SupportFSC, PEFC and SURE certification requirements and related reporting.
• Follow up investment grants from Luxembourg authorities and EU programmes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable local requirements and internal procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and support the implementation of corrective actions.
• Follow up recommendations resulting from internal audits and ensure their implementation.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inFinance, Accounting, Controlling, Economics, Industrial Management or a related field.
• First experience infinancial analysis, controlling, cost accounting or industrial reporting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to understand and explain financial and operational data.
• Good understanding ofcost accounting, stock valuation, variance analysis and budgeting.
• Interest in industrial processes, production and raw material management.
• Very good knowledge ofExcel and confidence working with large amounts of data.
• Experience with an ERP system; knowledge ofKSoft+ is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, organise priorities and meet deadlines, particularly during month-end closing.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with Finance, Production, Maintenance, Purchasing, Quality and Management.
• Fluent in French; knowledge of English and/or German is an advantage.
• A structured, accurate and proactive approach to problem-solving.
