POSITION SUMMARY

Street Level Strategy, LLC is seeking a part-time Campaign Assistant to support grassroots campaign operations for a campaign within Street Level's 2026 California political client portfolio. The Campaign Assistant reports to the Campaign Manager and will organize events, manage volunteers, and support field, office, and campaign activities to ensure smooth execution.

This role is ideal for organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individuals with experience in community engagement or campaigns. Successful candidates are strong communicators, comfortable working with volunteers and stakeholders, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Volunteer Support

• Recruit volunteers by call, text, and follow-up from the lists and scripts 
• Confirm, schedule, and remind volunteers ahead of each shift
• Check in volunteers at events and log attendance in the campaign tracker
• Follow up with volunteers after shifts to keep them engaged through Election Day

Field and Canvass Operations

• Set up and break down canvass launches
• Help deploy volunteers on canvass days and phone banks 

Events

• Help plan and staff tabling and volunteer events
• Handle event logistics: venue setup, supplies, sign-in, and cleanup
• Capture photos and short videos at events for the campaign's social media 

Office, Signs, and Materials

• Keep the campaign office open, stocked, organized, and ready for volunteers during scheduled hours
• Run the sign program day to day: track inventory of signs, fill sign requests, and coordinate volunteer installs and pickups
• Pick up, deliver, and store campaign materials across the district

General Support

• Provide administrative, operational, and logistical support as the Campaign Manager assigns
• Staff in wherever the campaign needs coverage

WHO YOU ARE

• 1–2 years of experience in canvassing, advocacy, or community outreach preferred
• Comfortable engaging with volunteers, community leaders, and stakeholders
• Able to manage multiple moving pieces in a fast-paced political environment
• Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally 

Working at Street Level Strategy

Employment type:Seasonal/Part-time/non-exempt

Schedule:Available Saturday - Thursday, with flexible availability on Fridays. Hours will range from 25-32 hours per week.

• Must be able to work in-person during working hours at the worksite location.
• The position also requires flexibility to work outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends. 
• Must be able to have predictable and reliable attendance

Compensation & Benefits

• $30/hour (part-time)
