Due to continued growth and a strong forward order book, we are seeking a Project Engineering Geologist to join our established Land Quality team in either our Edinburgh or Glasgow office.Â
Our busy and well-established Land Quality team delivers a wide range of geo-environmental assessments and site investigations across the built environment, infrastructure, industrial, and energy sectors. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team of geotechnical engineers, geologists and contaminated land specialists, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects while benefiting from excellent opportunities for professional development within a truly global consultancy.Â
The RoleÂ
You'll support and manage the delivery of geo-environmental projects from initial assessment through to reporting, working closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary colleagues. The role includes:Â
Managing and supervising all aspects of geo-environmental fieldworkÂ
Undertaking desk-based studies and preliminary risk assessmentsÂ
Planning and coordinating site investigations and laboratory testing programmesÂ
Developing and implementing health and safety plans for site worksÂ
Managing and supervising ground investigation activitiesÂ
Logging soil and rock samples to industry standardsÂ
Coordinating laboratory testing and analysisÂ
Collating, manipulating and assessing environmental and geological dataÂ
Preparing technical reports and providing clear, practical advice to clientsÂ
Supporting project delivery across a range of sectors including built environment, industry, infrastructure and energyÂ

You'll collaborate closely with colleagues across Land Quality, Geotechnics, Environmental and Earth Sciences, Planning and Engineering teams, contributing to complex and impactful projects across the UK and beyond.Â

About YouÂ
You'll bring:Â
Experience in geo-environmental site investigations and reportingÂ
A degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geoscience, Earth Sciences or a related disciplineÂ
Experience managing fieldwork and coordinating site investigation contractorsÂ
Knowledge of contaminated land and geo-environmental assessment practicesÂ
Strong data analysis, interpretation and technical reporting skillsÂ
An understanding of relevant health and safety requirements for site-based workÂ
Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skillsÂ
A proactive approach and commitment to delivering high-quality project outcomesÂ
A driving licence that permits you to legally drive in the UK, as regular site visits will be requiredÂ
