Compensation: $33.79 - $50.72/hour (Tessera's compensation strategy is to position new employees between the minimum and midpoint of this range, depending on qualifications and experience.)
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm (Flexible start and end times depending on scheduling needs. This is currently a hybrid position with at least 2 days in-office and 3 days working remotely. Schedule is based off of business needs.)
As an ERP Payroll Administrator, you'll… The ERP Payroll Administrator is directly responsible for all aspects of payroll processing and payroll accounting. Has thorough knowledge and understanding of Workday Payroll to process high volume multi-state payrolls. Assisting with and supporting management in carrying out the responsibilities of the payroll department such as researching and resolving complex payment issues - taxes and union fees - to remain in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and CBAs. Provides audit of benefits/HR for LOA requirements, 401k contributions, and wage/hour laws by state. Assisting with monthly, quarterly and year-end processes involving taxes, absence and H&W reconciliations.
Process weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for both exempt and non-exempt, union, and non-union employees in a multi-state environment.
Ensures the accurate calculation of all payments processed through audit and review of pre-payroll audit reports.
Review and process voluntary and involuntary payroll deductions.
Review calculations and validate multiple rates of pay from different positions worked by employees. Verify all entries balance to Payroll calculation and FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act) overtime calculations.
Act as a functional lead and subject matter expert in all applications associated with multi-state payroll taxes, retroactive pay, and garnishments.
Review Federal, State, CBA and SCA changes concerning Vacation/Sick/PTO calculations, implementing updates and changes in Workday.
Assist Sr. ERP Payroll Administrator in monitoring Vacation/Sick leave reports for inconsistencies, required updates, and corrections.
Assist in the testing of all payroll related system enhancements, improvements, upgrades, and migrations.
Identify, review, and implement process improvements for the payroll department.
Extensive knowledge of the payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, payroll taxes, compliance with HR policies, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll wage and hour laws and best practices.
Analytical skills, including the ability to visualize, gather information, articulate, analyze, and solve complex problems.
Work closely with HR Department providing support and assistance with new employee on boarding, employee audits, and other employee payroll related requests.
Audit payroll transactions (Employee changes, pay rate changes, taxes, and transfers), and reconcile variances between payroll and HR systems.
Assists employees with questions regarding pay issues and interpreting, and applying Payroll and Benefit laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Collaborates and participates with entire Payroll team on Month-End, Quarter-End and Year-End Payroll related tasks and projects.
Ability to problem solve, multitask, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Document workflow and work procedures, including suggesting and assisting in implementing Process Improvement measures.
Ability and confidence to work independently with minimal direct supervision.

Summary of desired skills and experience for the Tessera ERP Payroll Administrator:
Associate’s degree in Accounting required.
3 – 5 years of previous experience in Accounting or Finance required.
Previous experience in Payroll preferred.
Combination of previous experience and education will be considered.
A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
