Summary of PositionĀ 

ThisĀ Warehouse ManagerĀ managesĀ the warehouse production scheduling and may includeĀ support forĀ new ERP/MRP implementation for the company. This may include but is not limited to setting up warehouse systems including physical layout, order management, inventory management, policies,Ā proceduresĀ and work instructions.Ā The position will also be tasked with limited technical support on the ERP system.Ā 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Scheduling ordersĀ ofĀ raw materials and supplies in collaboration with Purchasing and the Operations Manager. Monitor and control inventory integrity.   

  • Schedule orders for spare parts, in cooperation with the Maintenance and the Purchasing departments.    

  • Plan and manage the shipment of finished products according to the procedures prepared in cooperation with Operations and in collaboration withĀ Accounting.   

  • Establish andĀ maintainĀ an inventory management system to include the physical setup of the warehouse(s) and the system forĀ accurateĀ inventory management.Ā  Maintain product identification and locationĀ program.   

  • Develop policies and procedures for the implementation of quality control systems and traceability systems. Assist Quality department to track non-conformingĀ product.   

  • Manage and train warehouse staff.   

  • Ensure traceability of the finished product throughĀ appropriate useĀ of the information coming from production and proper use of theĀ ERP-system.   

  • Ensure return to minimum stock of raw materials and consumable materials in the production area in collaboration with Production. Provide guidance to material handlers for inventory tracking onĀ productionĀ floor.   

  • Perform periodic maintenance of the ERP management system, in collaboration withĀ AccountingĀ by updating the ā€œitem part numbersā€ of the finished products, raw materials, consumables, and spare parts. Manage physical inventories/cycle counts/random orĀ receiptĀ audits/reconciliations.   

  • Plan activities for the organization of the warehouse including packing garbageĀ removals.   

  • OptimizeĀ the management of warehouse activities.   

  • Draft the warehouse budget.  

  • Prepare periodic inventories of the production and warehouse areas in collaboration with Production. Monitor and organize consumable items to best suit productionĀ needs.  

  • Manage andĀ maintainĀ the warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, electric pumpĀ trucksĀ etc.   

  • MaintainĀ accurateĀ logs,Ā files,Ā and documentation.

  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and procedures.   

  • Ability to work independently and as a part ofĀ team.   

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.  

  • Ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Possess strong leadership skills to effectively guide and motivate the warehouseĀ team.Ā 

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.   

  • Detailed-oriented individual capable of time and project management.      

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum 8 year’s progressively responsible work experience in warehouse setting.    

  • Experience in IT Systems and ERP (Oracle,Ā NavisionĀ or other ERP Systems)Ā 

  • Forklift knowledge and experience.   

  • Experience inĀ logisticsĀ management.Ā 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred.Ā 

  • PreviousĀ experience in a manufacturing plant warehouse, preferred.Ā Ā 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and move materials up to 25 pounds independently andĀ participateĀ in team lifts of approximately 60 pounds asĀ requiredĀ for essential production tasks.Ā 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position or move throughout the production floor for extended periods (for the duration of the shift up to 8+ hours per shift).Ā 

  • Must be able toĀ operate, position, adjust, or move equipment, tools, or materials necessary for production processes.Ā 

  • Capable of performing consistent, manual production tasks over long shifts.Ā 

  • Must be able to work in typical manufacturing environmental conditions, including areas requiring PPE, exposure to noise, and temperature variation.Ā
