Summary of Position
The Continuous Improvement EngineerĀ is responsible forĀ identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements that enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and cost performance. This role uses data analysis and structured methodologies to drive sustainable improvements across the organization.Ā
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesĀ
Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six SigmaĀ
Analyze current processes toĀ identifyĀ inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and wasteĀ
Facilitate root cause analysis using tools such as Fishbone diagrams and 5 WhysĀ
Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Ā
Drive projects to improve KPIs such as cycle time, yield, scrap, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)Ā
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, maintenance, supply chain)Ā
Standardize processes and ensure documentation is updated (SOPs, work instructions)Ā
Train employeesĀ onĀ continuous improvement tools and methodologiesĀ
Support audits and compliance initiativesĀ
Monitor and report on improvement project resultsĀ
SkillsĀ Ā
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principlesĀ
Experience with data analysis and problemāsolving toolsĀ
ProficiencyĀ with Excel and/or data visualization toolsĀ
Process mapping experience (e.g., Value Stream Mapping)Ā
Change management skillsĀ
Strong verbal and written communication skillsĀ

Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)Ā
Experience with ERP or MESĀ
Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)Ā
