Join a Growing Warehouse & Logistics Team
Our growing industrial client in Troy, NY is seeking a dependable and detail-orientedWarehouse Shipping Associate to support daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and material-handling operations.
* Handle, move, store, and stage materials to support assembly and shipping operations
* Ensure materials are received, stocked, and staged accurately to meet customer deadlines
* Work collaboratively with shop floor staff and management to support daily operations
* Full-time position (40 hours/week), Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with occasional overtime
* Pay rate: $21 per hour
Key Responsibilities
* Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials and products
* Unload trucks, trailers, and freight containers
* Receive and route incoming materials from contractors, customers, or warehouses
* Verify quantities and descriptions of received materials against packing lists and work orders
* Load outbound materials onto common carrier vehicles
* Assist with researching and resolving inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, returns, and shipping issues
* Support offsite operations by staging materials for further processing
* Assist with special projects as assigned by shop supervisors
Reporting Structure
* Report directly to the Operations Manager
Skills & Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly
- Forklift operation experience
- Ability to work in varying outdoor weather conditions
- 2+ years of inventory control experience in a mid- to high-volume fabrication environment preferred
- Experience organizing and controlling inventory movements
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to follow safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification or prior certification experience
- Experience with Great Plains ERP or similar inventory systems
