The Account Executive role has responsibility for daily client service, support and satisfaction while continuously learning our business and refining their skills. The goal is to develop and expand the knowledge base and prepare for a more progressive role within the client team. They may be required to interact directly with Coordinator, Specialist or Generalist level client contacts on a regular basis.
Client Service
Perform daily management of existing clients which includes listening to their needs and delivering solutions. This requires heavy phone, email and online meeting time so you’ve got to love connecting with clients as well as with the media. Â
Build and maintain strong relationships – internally, with the media/vendors and especially with your clients. Â
Ability to listen well and communicate articulately in a professional manner written, telephone and in-personÂ
Able to build and maintain strong relationships (internally and with clients)Â
Understand assigned client dynamics and requirementsÂ
Serve as client’s internal Shaker advocate, interacting with Shaker departments to coordinate all deliverable seamlesslyÂ
Prepare proposals and media recommendations as directed: conducting media research; talking to vendors; gathering options and pricing; organizing data for Client Management review and discussionÂ
Prepare, process and fully execute all order typesÂ
Ensure client approvals are received prior to deadline Â
Create orders and manage through to final billing, ensuring a high level of detail and accuracyÂ
Submit relevant forms for all internal requests, providing accurate and comprehensive scope details required to receive the best possible client deliverableÂ
Follow-up with departments to ensure requested deadlines are metÂ
Assist in the preparation of presentations to clients as requestedÂ
Manage passwords and reporting for client contracts and ensuring reports are pulled in a timely and detailed fashion as expected by the client
Sales
Become skilled at selling Shaker servicesÂ
Effectively and efficiently scope and close projects and campaignsÂ
Develop client-specific strategies to meet client needs/expectationsÂ
Generate client growth opportunitiesÂ
Gain proficiency with: Programmatic, SEM/PPC/Sponsored Content, Social Media and Creative Services (EVP/Branding, campaign development, premium items and support materials, brochures), Interactive Services (Websites, landing pages, digital assets and more), technology solutions (ATS, CRM, Sourcing, and others) to help manage client initiatives within each core categoryÂ
Build credibility and trust with clients and co-workers across all departmentsÂ
Manage workflow and activity across all team membersÂ
Media & Vendor RelationsÂ
Attend all agency media/vendor presentationsÂ
Engage with media/vendors to understand product suites suited for specific client goals and objectivesÂ
Prepare media recommendations and plans based on client scope (hiring objectives, geography, budgets and more)Â
Present and review recommendations and alter as needed to achieve goalsÂ
Execute media plans, coordinating all assets (creative) and media agreements/ordersÂ
Track media performance against plan to ensure timely reporting and strategy changes that may be requiredÂ
Project Management
Maintain client project logsÂ
Act as liaison between client management and relevant departments to ensure objectives and timelines are metÂ
Juggle multiple projects and clients simultaneously, ensuring accurate and timely delivery Â
BA and relevant experience, ideally 1-3 yearsÂ
Background in advertising, marketing, HR/talent acquisition Â
Agency experience preferred; recruitment-related a strong plus Â
Excellent communication/client-interaction skills both in person and via phone/electronic media Â
Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and exceptional follow-through Â
Knowledge of current talent-industry marketing and advertising trends/best practices Â
Demonstrated proficiency in FileMaker, MS Office Suite (Word, PPT, Teams), Excel and LinkedInÂ
Ability to perform research and campaign planning Â
Strong capacity and desire to grow, develop, and engage with clients Â
Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skillsÂ
