TheAccounting Supervisoroversees day-to-day accounting operations within the healthcare system, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and adherence to internal controls. This role provides direct supervision to accounting staff, supports month-end close activities, and partners with finance leadership to maintain efficient, high-quality accounting processes across clinical and non-clinical entities.Â

Essential ResponsibilitiesÂ
Supervise daily accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activitiesÂ
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and complianceÂ
Ensure adherence to GAAP, healthcare accounting standards, and organizational policiesÂ
Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reportsÂ
Assist with annual audits, cost reports, and regulatory filings; serve as a key contact for auditorsÂ
Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce riskÂ
Provide guidance, coaching, and performance management for assigned accounting staffÂ
Coordinate workload distribution and prioritize deadlines to meet reporting requirementsÂ
Collaborate with finance, revenue cycle, supply chain, payroll, and operational leaders to resolve accounting issuesÂ
Support system initiatives such as new entity onboarding, system conversions, or process standardizationÂ

Bachelor’s degree (Required)Â

Certification/LicensureÂ
Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) (Preferred but not required)Â

ExperienceÂ
1 year of supervisory experience (Required)Â
5 years of related experience (Required)Â
Experience with client server based financial systems (Preferred)Â
Healthcare and/or public accounting experience (Preferred)Â
