Overview
The Senior Environmental Services Technician plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This position combines hands-on service with functional supervision of environmental services staff to ensure high-quality standards are consistently met in assigned areas.

Experience
Maintain assigned areas and equipment to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
Perform tasks such as cleaning, disinfecting, and organizing patient rooms, hallways, common areas, and workspaces.
Provide functional supervision by assigning daily tasks to Environmental Services staff and ensuring work is completed to quality standards.
Train and orient new team members, serving as a resource for ongoing support and guidance.
Monitor the quality and timeliness of staff work to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement and customer service initiatives.
Respond promptly to spills, urgent cleaning needs, and requests for service from clinical staff.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to supervise and support a team. A detail-oriented individual who can maintain high cleanliness standards in a healthcare environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and provide clear guidance to staff.Knowledge of infection prevention practices and proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
