Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospitalis seeking aRespiratory Student Extern to join their team in Virginia Beach, VA! This is a PRN, rotating shift role.
Respiratory Students are unlicensed staff members who are within three semesters of graduation from an accredited RT program. They are accountable to, and work under the supervision of a professional, licensed Respiratory Therapist to perform delegated aspects of Respiratory Care. This may include both administrative and clinical duties that an unlicensed staff member is able to perform such as some aspects of patient care, cleaning equipment, ordering stock, stocking respiratory supply carts, and performing chargeaudits/reconciliation
Current Student enrolled in clinical Respiratory Care program must be within 3 semesters from graduation from accredited Respiratory Care program and remain in good standing in the program until graduation. This is a temporary position for up to 270 days. BLS within 90 days of hire.
