Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as aLicensed Clinical Social Worker!
Overview:
TheLicensed Clinical Social Worker participates as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team to establish comprehensive and integrated plans for each patient. Involvement entails both delivery of clinical services and referrals to appropriate community resources and other professionals. Assists patients and their families in meeting psychosocial needs which predispose illness or interfere with achieving an optimal level of care. Assesses the social, psychological, cultural, environmental and financial situations, as well as disposition needs, for each assigned patient.

Full Time (40 hours/week)

Requirements:
Education
Master's degree in social work (Required)
Certification/Licensure
Clinical Social Work License valid in state of practice (LCSW) (Required)
BLS (Required within 90 days)
Experience
2 years' social work experience (Required)
Prior palliative or end-of-life care work experience (Strongly preferred)
