Overview
As a Cyber Security Compliance Intern, you will support the Cyber Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance team in maintaining and enhancing our organization's security posture. You will help monitor compliance with internal security policies and industry regulations such as HIPAA, SOC 2, and NIST, and contribute to security audits, risk assessments, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Ā· Assist in evaluating the organization's compliance with applicable laws and regulations (HIPAA, HITECH, etc.).
Ā· Support the development, review, and maintenance of information security policies and procedures.
Ā· Participate in internal audits and help compile evidence for external audits.
Ā· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify compliance gaps and recommend remediation steps.
Education
- Pursuing a Bachelorās or masterās degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Business Law, Computer Science, or related field.
Certification/Licensure
- No specific certification or licensure requirements
