As the Senior Technical Manager, FM & WES atMujin, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical leadership and management support to focused
R&Dteams developing innovative software solutions. This senior leader
is a vital part of the product development organization anddrivessoftware development for criticalworkstreams and componentsof the
Mujin system. The role collaborates with other colleagues and stakeholders to
successfully launch
Mujin products, while also providing remote and onsite support.    

   

Your team’s mission is advancing state-of-the-art for scheduling and
controlling automation assets on an industrial floor. You will developcutting-edge robotics technology, including the design, development, testing, and implementation of execution and scheduling algorithms that run on multiple robots in real-time and perform order fulfillment. Our applications are performance-critical and involve autonomous interactions with the surrounding world in an uncontrolled environment. You will build, test, and deploy your work in simulation and in the real world on the world’s most advanced hardware. You will contribute to the development of ambitious high-impact projects as part of a dedicated team of world-class “Mujineers”.

Position Description:     

  • Support6-8 individual contributors from earlycareer through senior level.   
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalableFLEET &WES architectures for real-time decision-making and resource allocation. 
  • Design, implement, test and maintain software for autonomous fleet management, including task assignment, multi-agent motion planning and plan execution frameworks.   
  • Build robust interfaces between hardware and software for AMRs/AGVs.   
  • Optimize algorithms and implementation for scaling – balancing tradeoffs for production systems, for example, in battery management or AGV utilization.   
  • Develop orchestration logic for inventory flow and order prioritization across automation layers.    
  • Build APIs and integration layers for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and automation platforms.     
  • Write production-quality code that runs in near real-time, and deploy solutions in simulation and real-world environments. 
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamlessmobile robotcommunications,
    system interoperability, and systems
    integration.     
  • Review code and provide developers with constructive feedback to drive continuous improvements in quality and reliability.    
  • Instill discipline and quality-first culture fortimely delivery and exceptional user experience.    
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, teamcommunications;
    facilitate career path planning.    
  • Other duties as required.    

 

Position Requirements:    

  • Bachelor’s in Robotics, Engineering, ComputerScience or equivalent experience.     
  • 7+ years of professional experience in software-driven product development for industrial automation, robotics, or similar industry.    
  • 3+ years of team leadership and management experience, along withadvancedprogramming skills in C++ and Python.     
  • Expertise in distributed systems, orchestration logic, and real-time execution monitoring.  
  • Expertise in robotics, motion planning, multi-agent coordination, or real-time systems. 
  • Experience integrating complex technology involving electromechanical devices and software ecosystems.    

 

Preferred Qualifications:    

  • Master’s or PhD in Robotics, Engineering, ComputerScience or equivalent experience.  
  • 10+ years of professional experience in software-driven product development for industrial automation, robotics, or similar industry.   
  • 5+ years of team leadership and management experience.   
  • Background infleetmanagement orwarehouse execution systems or solving large-scale scheduling problems.  
  • Experience with real-time systems.
