Play a key role in driving growth within the Indigenous agriculture and agri-food sector in Canada. As a Senior Relationship Manager,you’ll be part of a remote sales team working with FirstNations,MĂ©tis Settlements, communitymembers and external partners to deliver financing andadvisory services for complex portfolios.You’ll manage customer accounts,build new customerrelationships, and deliver a seamless customer experience.You’llalsoconnectwith industry stakeholders toidentify opportunities and contribute to business growth through proactive relationship management.Â

Whatyou’ll doÂ
Buildlong-term, trusted relationships with Indigenous customers, communities, organizations, businessstakeholders and partners
Support relationship management byidentifying customer needs and contributing to tailored solutionsÂ
Act as a trusted point of contact for customers and communities,identifying opportunities to support community and business goals through respectful, relationship-focused financing conversations
Deliver a strong customer experience by managing requests efficiently and adding value in each interactionÂ
Travel across the assigned territory to meet with customers,communities and partners in person, including in community and on-reserve settings as required
Review and analyze business proposals, loanapplications, and customer financial information
Advise customers on borrowing solutions, including structure,conditions and security requirementsÂ
Monitor customer accounts through regular reviews, compliance monitoring, and performance tracking
Develop referral networks and relationships with industry leaders, financial institutions, and government agencies
Whatyou’ll bring to the teamÂ
Required qualifications:Â
Abachelor’sdegreeÂ
Minimum five years of related commercial lending experience,(or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
Solid knowledge of commercial lending practices,loan portfolio management, and credit risk analysisÂ
Demonstrated understanding of corporate structures and financial analysisÂ
Strong sales, negotiation, decision-making and relationship management skillsÂ
Ability to manage challenging negotiations and build long-term business relationshipsÂ
Demonstrated understanding of Indigenous history, knowledge systems,cultures and traditions, with the ability to apply this understanding in relationship-focused customer and community interactions
Preferred qualifications:Â
Extensiveexperience working withIndigenous communities,organizations or businessesÂ
Familiarity with theIndigenous agriculture and agri-food sectorsÂ
Experience building networks within theIndigenousecosystemÂ
Experiencerepresenting an organization at trade shows,conferences or industry eventsÂ
