Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilledSenior OKE & Kubernetes Platform Engineer with extensive experience inOracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) andKubernetes, along with working knowledge ofOracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing enterprise-scale OKE clusters, resolving complex production issues, ensuring platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence, and providing technical leadership for Kubernetes platform operations. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, administer, and support production-gradeOKE andKubernetes clusters.
  • Perform cluster lifecycle management activities, including upgrades, maintenance, patching, and capacity planning.
  • Lead the resolution of critical platform incidents related to clusters, nodes, pods, networking, storage, and performance.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across Kubernetes environments and OCI-hosted infrastructure.
  • Monitor platform health, availability, and performance to ensure reliable operations.
  • Collaborate with application, cloud, and security teams to deliver stable and scalable Kubernetes platforms.
  • Support platform optimization initiatives to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to L1/L2 engineers supporting Kubernetes operations.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring platform issues.
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across Kubernetes and OKE environments.

Experience
  • 8-12+ years of overall IT experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Kubernetes administration experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE).
  • Experience supporting large-scale, customer-facing production environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and incident management capabilities.
Preferred Certifications
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
  • OCI Architect Associate/Professional
  • Terraform Associate
