Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior Java Developer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Regulatory clients in Rockville, MD or Tysons, VA.

Responsibilities :

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions that meet business requirements
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to best practices
Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical strategy
Support production systems and troubleshoot complex technical issues
Defines technical solutions or operational processes to improve efficiency
Strong experience with Java and Angular
Demonstrates the firm's values
Collaborates, both in-person and virtually

Required Skills :

10+ years of design develop, and maintenance
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline with at least 8 years of related experience, or equivalent training and/or work experience
System design experience
Strong experience in developing Frontend application
Strong experience with AWS cloud technologies
Experience in performance tuning and optimization
Experience in DevOps and CI/CD technologies
Experience in test automation and unit testing
Experience in software security
Programming & Development Java, Spring Boot, JPA
Frontend applications: Angular
RESTful API design and microservices architecture
CI/CD pipelines (GitLab exposure preferred)
Databases
- SQL (PostgreSQL, Aurora)
