Senior Java Automation Test Engineer with retail/eCommerce experience

We are looking for a hands-onSenior Java Automation Test Engineer with solid retail/eCommerce experience who can contribute to quality across the full technology stack — Web/UI, Mobile, APIs/Backend, Data, and Integrations. The candidate should be comfortable working across multiple domains and adapting to the testing needs of different product teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to end-to-end quality from requirements through production readiness
• Design and execute testing across Web/UI, Mobile, API/Backend, Data, and integrated systems
• Apply AI/LLMs and agentic QE approaches for test design, automation, impact analysis, defect investigation, and productivity improvements
• Perform SQL/data validation, execute and monitor data pipelines, and troubleshoot data/integration issues
• Build and maintain UI, API, Mobile, and Data automation integrated with CI/CD
• Understand retail customer journeys and validate interactions across upstream/downstream systems
• Participate in risk assessment, defect triage, root-cause analysis, and release readiness activities
• Collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, Data, and other QE teams, sharing expertise with team members

Requirements

• 3+ years of QE experience with retail/eCommerce domain knowledge
• Hands-on experience across Web, Mobile, API/Backend, and Data testing
• Working knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, AI coding tools, and agentic workflows
• Automation experience with Playwright/Selenium, Appium, and API automation frameworks or equivalent
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and modern cloud/data platforms
• Good troubleshooting, ownership, and cross-functional communication skills
• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
