About the role
A leading global investment firm is adding a senior Microsoft infrastructure engineer to support its New York region teams. This is a newly created position, and you'll be the sole infrastructure engineer supporting the region, working closely with desktop support, desktop engineering, and network engineering. The role is internal-facing: you'll support the firm's business teams and troubleshoot across the Microsoft environment as the go-to technical resource during US hours.

Hours: 8:00am to 6:00pm Eastern.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, administer, and troubleshoot Microsoft cloud services including Entra ID, Azure, Azure networking, Exchange Online, and M365
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, and broader Wintel infrastructure
• Troubleshoot VMware-based VDI environments, including VMware Horizon and connection brokers
• Support end-user computing across Windows 10 and 11 environments
• Partner with desktop support, desktop engineering, and network engineering to resolve issues and deliver changes
• Work independently as the primary engineering resource for the region

Must have

• Senior-level, hands-on expertise across Microsoft cloud, especially Entra ID
• Strong Azure experience, including Azure networking, Exchange Online, and M365
• Strong VMware experience, with the ability to troubleshoot VDI environments and understand the underlying platform
• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory background

Nice to have

• VMware Horizon and VDI connection broker experience
• Citrix experience
• Financial services industry experience
