Within the AstraZenecaEnterpriseCell Therapy Unit, our ambition is to realize the full potential of cell therapy for people living with cancer, immune-mediated and rare diseases around the world. This unit has responsibility for the value chain from discovery through to late-stage development and commercialization. We are rapidly progressing a broad pipeline of cell therapies in collaboration with AstraZeneca’s Therapeutic Area Units.  Â

This role is a dynamic role responsible for the management of overall BusinessImprovement,Transformation, and Strategic Programs at a global level for within the Enterprise Cell Therapy UnitThe ideal candidate for this role will be curious, creative, analytical with a natural leadership drive to bring solutions beyond immediate challenges; challenge the status quo and will have outstanding communication and influencing skills. This leader will share frequent interactions with senior leaders acrossCell Therapy, as well as close collaboration with leaders ofR&Dand Commercialacrossof multiple Therapy areas. Success in this role will result in improved business decision-making, accelerated innovation, and enhanced productivity. A passion for transformation, combined with relationship-building, leadership, and communicationskills will be key to success.Â

Accountable for defining and executing business transformation strategies which will enable superior quality,effectiveness and efficiency of the business;Establish and drive transformation roadmap structure and strategy. Â
Identify high level opportunities for process improvement and drive implementation of the key process improvement and lean initiatives that will ensuresuccessfullaunch and management of multiple products andpipeline. Â
Drive synergies, simplification and productivity initiatives and achieve cost efficiencies forspecific functions within the Cell Therapy Organizations. Lead cross functional teams toidentify topoperational challenges andsupporting transformation programs that will strengthensupplymodel for autologous and allogenic modalities. Â
Actively collaborate with key networks across AZ and externally to gain awareness of current industry trends to contribute and influence new evolvingtechnologies andpractices. Share strategic outcomes of key strategy implementation and Businesstransformation projects with senior leadership teams, outlining benefits from a cost, speed and quality perspective anddemonstrating the return on investment (ROI)Â Â
Build a trusting relationship with senior leaders and other key stakeholders across the enterprise to advise and influenceoperationaltransformational changes supporting 2030 bold ambition Â

Bachelor’s degreeinappropriate disciplineÂ

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $189,232 - $283,849 USD Annually. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
