Experienced Data Engineer Professional
12+ years professional Experience
8+ years of Data Engineering experience supporting DoD, IC, or Federal programs
Experience designing and maintaining enterprise data pipelines and architectures
Experience with Strong SQL, NoSQL, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT
Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or similar technologies
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience with Python, Java, or Scala
Experience securing data in regulated or classified environments
Knowledge of data governance, data quality, MDM, and data lifecycle management
Experience with data security controls, access controls, encryption, and auditing
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
AWS Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer, CDMP, Security+, or CISSP certification
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field

DUTIES:
Design and maintain data pipelines and architectures
Build ETL/ELT processes
Design and optimize data models and databases
Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions
Perform code reviews
Work with engineers, architects, data scientists, analysts, and government customers
Support SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka environments
Build and support AWS, Azure, or GCP data solutions
Implement data security and monitoring controls
Support data quality and governance
Support DevSecOps and CI/CD
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers
Present technical solutions to government stakeholders
