The Team
The Financial Control teamās purpose is to ensure SEEKās financial records and reports are timely, consistent, reliable and accurate. Working closely with the Record to Report (R2R) team and other centres of expertise, the team looks after consolidation and reporting of the Groupās financial results, technical accounting and managing the groupās financial audit.
Over the last 2 years SEEKās Finance team has transitioned from multiple individual country Finance teams to one APAC team and has been progressively introducing standardised, centralised processes. In addition, SEEK is transitioning auditor during FY27.
Reporting to one of the Finance Managers ā Financial Control, the Senior Accountant will play a key part in the Groupās consolidation and statutory financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly consolidated results for the SEEK Group, including:
- Importing monthly results into the FCCS Consolidation tool for assigned SEEK Group entities (subsidiaries and/or associates) and preparing associated consolidation journals in a timely and accurate manner
- Preparation of and reporting on balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts and entities
- Preparation of and reporting on consolidated balance sheet and cash flow analytics
- Supporting and ensuring accuracy of the Groupās intercompany processes
- Ensuring that accounting and consolidation issues identified in the close process are properly resolved
- Identifying and rolling out process improvements (including AI-driven) to aid with efficiency, controls, and scalability
Preparation of statutory financial reporting, including:
- Support the preparation of year end consolidated financial statements
- Preparation of standalone statutory financial statements for assigned companies
- Liaising with external auditors in relation to the financial statements
- Identifying and rolling out process improvements to aid with efficiencies, controls, and scalability
Financial Control activities, including:
- Monitoring preparation of and periodically reviewing subsidiariesā balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with quality reviews of SEEK Group entitiesā trial balances
- Periodic deep dives on specific balances to confirm compliance with Group policies
Ad hoc activities as and when they arise, including:
- Accounting for significant transactions (acquisitions, disposals, etc)
- Performing and presenting technical accounting research
- Assisting with projects to improve financial processes, policies or controls

Skills and experience
- CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent), with 3+ years post qualification experience (preferably Big 4 accounting firm background and some additional āhands-onā industry experience)
- Experience preparing or auditing complex multi-currency consolidations
- Experience preparing or auditing financial statements
- Strong knowledge of AASB or IFRS accounting standards, comfortable performing research to propose solutions to accounting treatment questions
- Ability to piece together complex accounting concepts and think ahead to any flow-on impacts of accounting decisions
- Strong track record of effectively collaborating with different teams, including people and teams working remotely
- Great investigative and problem-solving skills
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong GPT prompting skills to achieve efficient outcomes
- Experience with Oracle SmartView and Workday Financials advantageous, but not essential
