💰 Pay: £15.66 per hour 
📅 Hours: Average 42 hours per week: 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off - 6:30am - 6:30pm/6:30pm - 6:30am

We are currently recruiting a professional Security Officer to deliver a high-quality security service at a prestigious client within the advanced engineering and technology sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in protecting employees, property, and sensitive assets while ensuring all duties are carried out in line with assignment instructions and site requirements. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service, consistently demonstrating integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness🛡️

As aSecurity Officer, your key responsibilities include preventing and deterring unauthorised access, monitoring fire alarms, intruder systems, and CCTV, and carrying out regular internal and external patrols. You will also be responsible for traffic and parking control, conducting routine security equipment checks, and managing keys, including locking and unlocking duties in line with site procedures. A proactive and professional approach is essential to ensure all security protocols are followed and a safe, secure environment is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate 
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions
• Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring the safeguarding of the premises

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

• A valid SIA licence
• Must be able to go through SC clearance and BPSS due to the nature of the client business
• Smart and reliable
• Computer literate 
• Ability to carry out patrols
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
• Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken
