💰 Pay: £15.35 per hour 
📅 Hours: 50 hours per week: Monday - Friday working 9am - 7pm

As aSecurity Officer at Securitas, you’ll do more than protect what’s important, you’ll empower people to thrive. Your presence will make others feel safe, welcome, and supported. Whether you’re patrolling key areas, managing gatehouse duties, or being the friendly face clients rely on, as a Security Officer you will be an essential part of something bigger. As aSecurity Officer, you’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe by helping to prevent and deter unauthorised access to site, monitoring fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate, and carrying out both external and internal security patrols in line with Assignment Instructions. You’ll also be responsible for conducting routine tests of security equipment, managing keys and completing locking and unlocking duties, while ensuring all logbooks and records are accurately maintained. In addition, you’ll issue visitor and contractor passes in accordance with procedures and provide support, guidance and information to staff, visitors and contractors, all while ensuring the safeguarding of the premises.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions
• Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring  safeguarding of the premises

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

• A valid SIA licence
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
• Knowledge of Vision
• Reliable and trust worthy 
• Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a security role.
