Visa Information

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.

Position Description

The Section Coordinator of Credentialing and Assignment coordinates and supports credentialing, privileging, provider assignment, and compliance activities for the Office of Strategic Initiatives (OSI) Compliance and Risk Management department. This role is well suited for a highly organized professional who can navigate complex situations with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment. Successful candidates are comfortable addressing sensitive matters, maintaining confidentiality, and communicating expectations clearly while building trusted relationships with healthcare providers, hospital partners, credentialing personnel and internal stakeholders to achieve shared goals.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Coordinate initial credentialing and recredentialing activities for healthcare providers and professional staff to support compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

  • Facilitate provider privileging processes by serving as a liaison among hospitals, credentialing personnel, and providers to ensure timely communication and documentation.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for telehealth and onsite OSI provider assignments, coordinating scheduling, logistics, and related communications.

  • Support provider onboarding activities, including coordinating required documentation, tracking progress, and assisting with new provider setup.

  • Review and reconcile timekeeping records to ensure accuracy and compliance with departmental and organizational processes.

  • Assist with invoice processing, tracking, and related administrative functions to support departmental operations.

  • Maintain credentialing, privileging, and provider records, ensuring information is accurate, current, and appropriately documented.

  • Support audits, investigations, and risk management activities by gathering records, researching information, and maintaining required documentation.

  • Collaborate with providers, healthcare facilities, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues, answer inquiries, and support efficient department operations.

  • Complete assigned responsibilities accurately and within established timelines while maintaining a high level of customer service, compliance, and operational support.




Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years of experience with healthcare provider credentialing, recredentialing, primary source verification, and/or privileging.

  • Three years of experience with contract administration, healthcare operations, or a related function requiring collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience serving as a primary liaison between providers, healthcare facilities, vendors, or internal stakeholders to coordinate operations and resolve issues.

  • Knowledge of provider onboarding, licensure and certification tracking, credentialing files, and audit-ready documentation.

Pay Statement
