Position Overview
The Temporary Onboarding Assistant provides entry-level administrative and data-entry support to the People team. This role supports new-hire onboarding and I-9 processes, maintains accurate employee records, performs data audit checks, and assists with weekly reporting.
This temporary, part-time position is approximately 25 hours per week and requires availability on Saturdays, Sundays, and evenings.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and update employee and onboarding information accurately and on time.
- Assist new hires with required onboarding documents and system tasks.
- Support the completion, review, and tracking of Form I-9 documentation according to established company procedures.
- Monitor outstanding onboarding and I-9 requirements and follow up with employees or managers.
- Perform routine data audit checks to identify and resolve missing or inaccurate information.
- Prepare and distribute weekly reports to support team reporting needs and business priorities.
- Maintain organized and confidential employee, onboarding, and I-9 records.
- Respond to routine onboarding questions and direct complex matters to the appropriate team member.
- Assist with special projects and other administrative duties.
Schedule and Position Requirements
- Temporary, part-time position, approximately 25 hours per week.
- Availability required on Saturdays, Sundays, and evenings.
- Schedule may vary based on onboarding activity and business needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; previous Human Resources experience is not required.
- Comfortable using computers, spreadsheets, and data-entry systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow instructions.
- Dependable and able to complete assignments on time.
- Clear, professional communication skills and a friendly, service-oriented approach.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Willingness to learn onboarding and I-9 processes.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, ADP Workforce Now, or an onboarding platform is helpful but not required.
