Job SummarySDET / QA Automation Engineer
We are seeking an experiencedSDET / QA Automation Engineer with 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, API testing, UI automation, and microservices testing. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise inKarate, Selenium, Cucumber, Postman, and API testing, along with experience developing and maintaining robust automation frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, API, and microservices-based applications.
- Develop UI automation scripts usingSelenium WebDriver withCucumber/BDD frameworks.
- Perform API testing usingKarate, Postman, and other API automation tools.
- Create and execute functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and system-level test scenarios.
- Test REST APIs and microservices, including service-to-service integrations and data validation.
- ImplementBDD-based testing using Cucumber, SpecFlow, or similar frameworks.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and document defects while working closely with developers and business teams.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and ensure automated tests are integrated into the software delivery process.
- Perform performance and load testing usingJMeter and/or LoadRunner.
- Develop and execute mobile application automation usingAppium.
- Work with cloud environments such asAWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
- Execute automated tests in containerized environments usingDocker.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- 10+ years of experience in QA/SDET and test automation.
- Strong hands-on experience withKarate, Selenium, Cucumber, and Postman.
- Strong knowledge ofAPI testing and automation.
- Experience withUI automation and web application testing.
- Strong experience testingmicroservices and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience withBDD frameworks, especially Cucumber and/or SpecFlow.
- Experience withJMeter and/or LoadRunner for performance testing.
- Experience withAppium for mobile automation testing.
- Exposure toAWS, Azure, and/or GCP cloud platforms.
- Understanding ofDocker and containerization.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect management, and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Experience building or enhancing enterprise-level automation frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and automated quality gates.
- Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, or similar development/DevOps tools.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise or financial services environments.
- Strong programming/scripting skills inJava, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages.
