Weāre looking for a detailādriven Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant to play a key role in keeping our PurchaseātoāPay (P2P) process running smoothly. Youāll ensure vendor invoices are processed accurately and paid on time for our two Belgian entities ā EPC (our factory in Malle) and Ecover Belgium (our sales office in Brecht). Acting as the main point of contact for suppliers, youāll build strong working relationships, resolve issues proactively, and help drive continuous improvements that make our finance processes even more efficient and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and book vendor invoices (mainly Dutch and English) in SAP, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
- Monitor and support the endātoāend P2P process, including purchase orders and invoice payments.
- Act as the primary contact for vendors, managing queries and resolving blocked invoices.
- Manage MRBR and GR/IR items, producing reports, analysing discrepancies and coordinating actions to resolve them.
- Support monthāend closing activities, including reconciliations and aging analysis.
- Collaborate with Quality and Planning teams on supplier complaints, returns and delivery issues (financial followāup).
- Monitor payments, maintain the finance inbox, support audits and contribute to Intrastat reporting.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve AP and P2P processes for greater efficiency and compliance.
Experience Youāll Bring
- A strong understanding of the PurchaseātoāPay / Accounts Payable process.
- Good working knowledge of VAT regulations.
- Experience processing invoices in an ERP system (SAP preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English.
- A patient, diplomatic approach when working with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Highly organised, with strong problemāsolving skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
