The Test Specification Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end definition and

maintenance of test specifications, ensuring full traceability between requirements,

test design, and validation results within complex automotive systems (focus: steering

systems / ECU testing).

• Ability to independently create test specifications

• No reliance on detailed instructions

• Experience working with European OEMs (VW preferred)

• Strong documentation discipline

EXPERTISE 

  • Analyze system, software and safety requirements (ASIL relevant where applicable)
  • Create high-quality test specifications and test cases (HiL / SiL / Vehicle)
  • Ensure end-to-end traceability (Requirement → Test Case → Execution → Result)
  • Review and optimize existing test specifications
  • Perform coverage analysis (requirements vs. test cases)
  • Support test strategy definition and refinement
  • Align with stakeholders (Germany / OEM / Suppliers)
  • Hands-on experience in at least one domain:
  • ECU testing
  • steering/braking systems
  • vehicle control systems
  • Minimum 5 years of experience

Languages

  • English: Professional working proficiency (mandatory)
  • German: Considered a strong asset / plus

  • Test Design methodologies (boundary value, equivalence classes, state-based testing)
