Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative is the first point of contact for prospective customers across the APAC region. In this role, you'll engage with marketing-generated inbound leads, understand customers' business needs, qualify sales opportunities, and determine whether Sangoma's solutions are the right fit. Leads are generated through website inquiries, phone calls, webinars, and other marketing campaigns, and are assigned across the team to ensure balanced coverage.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Connect with prospective and existing customers through phone, email, video conferencing, chat, and other communication channels to build strong relationships and identify business opportunities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding customer needs and introducing Sangoma's communications and technology solutions that best fit their business requirements.
  • Provide pre-sales support, product information, solution recommendations, and budgetary pricing to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound sales opportunities by following established sales processes and lead engagement strategies to build a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate quotations, proposals, and timely follow-ups to move opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers by providing exceptional account management, resolving inquiries, managing escalations, supporting billing concerns, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and opportunity updates using Salesforce CRM or other company-approved CRM tools.
  • Stay current on industry trends, market developments, and competitor offerings to effectively position Sangoma's products and provide valuable insights to customers.
  • Work closely with Sales, Technical Support, Customer Success, Finance, and other internal teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience and ensure timely resolution of customer concerns.
  • Consistently meet or exceed individual sales, activity, and customer satisfaction goals while contributing to overall team success.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to engage professionally with customers across phone, email, chat, and video conferencing.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in Inside Sales, Account Management, Business Development, Customer Success, or a similar customer-facing B2B sales role.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify, nurture, and advance sales opportunities through the sales pipeline.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a customer-first approach.
  • Comfortable learning and explaining technical products and solutions, with the ability to quickly become proficient in Sangoma's products, services, and internal systems.
  • Experience using CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) to manage customer interactions, sales opportunities, and account activities.
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business productivity tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a commission-based environment.
  • Experience in Inside Sales, Account Management, Business Development, or B2B Sales.
  • Background in Unified Communications (UC), Telecommunications, Technology, IT, or SaaS is highly preferred.
  • Experience selling business solutions through consultative or solution-based selling.
  • Proficient in Salesforce CRM or other CRM platforms.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced sales environment.
