What you bring to SBHG(qualifications):
Education:
- Enrolled in an accredited BA, BS, program in the mental health field
License:
- A valid California Driver’s License and current automobile insurance, with a driving record that consistently meets the agency's eligibility policy.
How you will make a difference (job overview):
The Support Counselor Trainee is responsible for working with children in placement to provide a large variety of services ranging from behavior management, crisis intervention, self-help skill building, and other services as needed to provide “whatever it takes” to make a successful placement for the child. The Support Counselor Trainee works under the supervision of the TBS Coordinator and is a part of the child’s treatment team.
