Procurement & Purchasing Specialist

Role description:
• Analyses documentation and prepares the procurement process
• Obtains feedback on quality and compliance with contracting terms and conditions and realizes the supplier's qualification
• Analyses the market and obtains information on new market players in the assigned areas.
• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation as well as formal tender documents, when and if required.
• Administer contracts and update the vendor performance evaluation
• Engage in sourcing activities and negotiations with current/future vendors
• Manage the end-to-end sourcing process including commercial and contractual negotiations within reason
• Conduct forward looking analysis on current/future vendors to drive commercial savings and performance improvements
• Maintain and operate the procurement workflow and PO system
• Responsible for monitoring and the development of vendor performance processes, assist in resolving vendor issues and escalations
• Prepares purchase orders and invitations to submit a bid in a tender
• Dispatch approved Purchase Orders, and follow-up with the delivery of ordered commodities and services.
• Receives requests for purchases from individual departments of the company
• Processes databases of suppliers
• Ensure optimum levels of inventory.
• Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule
Qualifications:
• University degree in Economics
• Language: English (advanced) – written and spoken
• 3-5 year of experience in procurement and purchasing functions
• Knowledge of best practice procurement processes, policies and procedures
• Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail
• Analytical - can break complex problems into small ones
• Good communication and cooperation skills
• Act as a problem solver, with strong analytical and organizational skills
• Advanced knowledge and use of MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Experience in SAP is preferred
• Driving license
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to challenge & collaborate
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a part of a team
• Excellent Google suite & MS Office skills
