Planning and Purchasing Specialist

A multinational company in the building materials industry is expanding its team and is looking for a Planning and Purchasing Specialist.

Requirements

  • University degree in economics;

  • Min. 5 years’ experience in production planning, supply chain;

  • Strong knowledge related to planning and purchasing processes;

  • Very good command of English language (written and spoken);

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills;

  • Ability to work independently with team player mindset;

  • Good communication and cooperation skills;

  • Flexible and able to work under pressure;

  • Act as a problem solver;

  • Advanced knowledge and use of MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point);

  • Experience in SAP (MRP Planning and Execution SAP, especially production planning, in order to calculate quantities of raw material and components required for upcoming production);

  • Driving license;

Responsibilities

  • Planning and purchasing of raw materials, packaging materials and other products according to defined ordering points;

  • Ensure optimum levels of inventory (establish reorder points, monitor stock level, minimize surplus or obsolete inventory);

  • Continuous control and optimization of material planning;

  • Work closely with purchasing/procurement to ensure raw materials are ordered and delivered according to production lead time;

  • Actively adjust schedules in response to equipment breakdowns, material shortages or sudden shifts in customer demand;

  • Maintaining/updating price and conditions in the SAP system

  • Checking invoice deviations and clearances together with supplier;

  • Register, review and process supplier claims;

  • Maintaining of MRP parameters in the system and define the working parameters in case of new/existing materials;

  • Conduct supplier evaluation according to company standards and improve supplier performance;

  • Regular tracking and reporting of relevant KPI’s.

  • Maintain material master data management;

  • Reporting obligations regarding the packaging materials placed on the market.
