The role:Â
SailPoint is seeking aSolution Engineering Manager to support ourStrategic Westsolution engineering team. You will play a critical role in growing SailPoint’s business by building and leading a high performing team ofSolution Engineers.  OurSolution Engineers play a vital role indemonstrating and communicating the value of SailPoint’s products and thought leadership to our prospective customers in the Identity Governance market.Â

What you will do:Â
Hire, coach, and drive an outstandingSolution Engineering team to deliver against assigned goalsÂ
Manage individual and team performance ensuring that we are taking the necessary actions tomaintainhigh levels of performanceÂ
Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong management consulting skills to influence thinking or gain acceptance of multiple customer constituenciesÂ
Work to improve the SailPoint salesmethodology and processes effectively, including development of product presentations and demonstrations tailored to our partners requirements and tuned to suit the level and nature of the audienceÂ
Assess gaps in evolving training needs and then create and implement programs to improve sales,product and technology skills of the Sales Engineering teamÂ
Work with Regional Sales directors on account planning, strategy, and sales call activityÂ
Providetimely and insightful input back to other corporate functions, particularly field sales, product management and marketingÂ
Manage relationships with product teams & decision makers both internally and externallyÂ

What we are looking for:Â
Previous experience, 5+ years as a sales engineering manager and 5+ years as a sales engineerÂ
Excellent communication skills including experience speaking to a technical and business audiencesÂ
The ideal candidate will already have a good understanding of the solutions, market dynamics and best practices in the IdentitySecurity marketÂ

Within 30 Days:Â
Onboarded and met all team members and sales leaders the territory supports.Â
Within 60 Days:Â Â
Familiar with business and top opportunities and established cadences with peers, sales, and team members.Â
Within 90 Days:Â Â
Complete product training and into rhythm with team members, peers, and leadership.Â
Within 1-Year: Â
Continue in full partnership with sales leaders andtrust of your team while achieving budget for the sales territories supported.Â
Education:Â
Preferred, notrequired:Bachelor’s in Computer Science or global equivalent experienceÂ

Must reside in a Western US state
Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):
$142,660 - $240,531.20Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
