About our Team:
Youâll be leading Sageâs global Corporate Sales team at a pivotal moment of growth and innovation. This small but highly supported team partners closely with academic and corporate customers, product leaders, editorial colleagues, and specialist AI/licensing experts to bring Sage and Liebertâs worldâclass research content to new and emerging markets. Working alongside our Chief Commercial Officer and senior leaders across Product, Editorial, Pricing, Finance, Marketing, Legal, and Operations, youâll help shape how Sage expands into corporate, government, and healthcare environments. This is a collaborative, outwardâfacing team that thrives on insight, partnership, and building scalable, sustainable commercial models for the future.
Could you be our new Sales Director? Are you?
Experienced in senior sales leadership within STM publishing, healthcare information, research platforms, or enterprise knowledge solutions?
Someone with strong commercial networks across pharma, biotech, and corporate R&D with a track record of converting those relationships into enterpriseâlevel deals?
Experienced in selling complex, highâvalue solutions into multiâstakeholder environments including hospitals, AMCs, research institutes, and corporate R&D with deep fluency in enterprise procurement and executive engagement?
An expert negotiator with a strong record of closing highâvalue, multiâyear, multiâsite enterprise agreements, including nonâstandard, highâcomplexity, or data/AIâdriven contracts?
Deeply knowledgeable about corporate subscription models, including collections, multisite licensing, and valueâbased renewals?
Experienced in working with diverse content types (e.g., journals, collections, dataârich assets) and integrating them into compelling enterprise value propositions for corporate and R&D customers?
Proven people leader with experience building, coaching, and scaling specialist sales teams globally to deliver high performance?
Commercially astute, dataâdriven, and confident operating with senior executives and procurement leaders, and crossâfunctional teams to shape enterprise commercial strategy?
Confident collaborating with data, AI, and licensing teams, including work with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and advanced content technologies to deliver complex or bespoke enterprise solutions?
Your new role:
This is a brandânew leadership role in a brandânew market, an opportunity to build, grow, and elevate a dedicated global corporate revenue stream for Sage. You will develop and drive the strategy and execution that takes our existing corporate efforts to an entirely new level.
Youâll lead and grow a specialist global team, own our most complex and highâvalue opportunities, and shape how Sage monetises content and research solutions across corporate, government, and healthcare sectors. Your work will directly influence how Sage positions itself in advanced use cases, including Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), enterprise licensing, and emerging AIâdriven models.
Lead global corporate revenue growth by expanding Sageâs presence across hospitals, AMCs, research institutes, pharma, biotech, and corporate R&D organisations.
Drive strategic engagement with federal government agencies and research bodies to unlock longâterm commercial opportunities.
Translate global strategy into clear, actionable annual plans, including segmentation, ideal customer profiles, target accounts, and revenue priorities.
Provide deep market insight to shape commercial decisions, product direction, and portfolio strategy across Research Sales.
Own and close the largest, most complex enterprise opportunities, including multiâsite and global agreements.
Lead highâstakes enterprise negotiations that deliver sustainable, commercially sound agreements with longâterm impact.
Develop, coach, and empower a highâperforming global specialist sales team, fostering consultative selling, enterprise negotiation, and valueâbased renewal excellence.
Build and nurture seniorâlevel relationships across library leadership, research leadership, procurement, clinical education, R&D, and knowledge management.
