ob Summary Iron Mountain is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Histo-Technician to join our Archival & Clinical Services team.

In this role, you will be responsible for physical and electronic slide archiving, tissue specimen cataloging, microscope quality analysis, and core laboratory processing functions for anatomical pathological tissue.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Manage Archival & Cataloging Operations: Archive, catalog, scan, and file tissue slides while maintaining accurate physical tracking logs and electronic databases for long-term retention and research.

  • Perform Quality Control & Preservation Analysis: Conduct microscopic examinations of slides to evaluate stain quality, inspect materials for abnormalities, and identify proper preservation methods for historically significant medical records.

  • Execute Core Laboratory Functions: Perform essential histo-technician duties—including specimen fixation, processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining—in strict accordance with mandatory quality standards and procedures.

  • Collaborate on System Management: Partner with internal users and stakeholders to create user-friendly database systems, respond to research inquiries, and occasionally support clinical service needs.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

  • of hands-on experience in anatomical pathological tissue collection, handling, processing, and storage processes.

  • Strong technical knowledge in histology practices, including tissue identification, microtomy, staining methods, and microscope-based quality inspection.

  • Proven capability in database maintenance, data entry, and Microsoft Office Suite for efficient record-keeping and reporting.

  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and time management capabilities.

Reasonably expected salary range: $68,400.00 - $85,500.00

Please note that an employee's starting salary may vary based on a variety of factors. Where State, Municipal, Provincial, Territorial or other legal minimum wages exceed the federal minimum wage, employees are entitled to the higher rate.
