Job Description:

Russell Investments is seeking an experiencedIT infrastructure leader to serve asDirector – IT Infrastructure, Mumbai, acting as theRegional Head for infrastructure operations in India. Reporting to theGlobal Head of Infrastructure, this role will be accountable for thedelivery, reliability, and modernization of the firm’s infrastructure in Mumbai while ensuring alignment with global standards and contributing regional insights to enterprise initiatives.

This leader will oversee aregional team supporting global operations, partner with global counterparts, and ensure the Mumbai hub deliverssecure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure. The role offers significant leadership opportunity withhigh visibility within India and strong connection toenterprise-level transformation programs.

Executive Visibility & Growth

• Reports directly to theGlobal Head of Infrastructure.

• Serves as acritical member of the Mumbai leadership team.

• Providesregional perspective into global forums when required.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Strategy & Alignment

• Own and execute theMumbai infrastructure roadmap, ensuring alignment with global strategy and standards.

• Provide regional insights and feedback intoenterprise-wide infrastructure initiatives.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and grow ahigh-performing regional team, fostering collaboration and operational excellence across engineering, operations, and support.

• Drive a culture ofaccountability, innovation, and reliability within the region.

Cloud & Platform Operations

• Oversee theday-to-day operations of cloud and on-premises infrastructure supporting Mumbai and global business functions.

• Championautomation, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and containerization (Kubernetes, GitLab).

Reliability, Resilience & Security

• Ensure24x7 reliability, performance, and security of systems supporting trading, analytics, and enterprise operations.

• Leadregional DR/BCP testing, audit readiness, and compliance controls.

• Partner with cybersecurity and risk teams to meetSOX, GDPR, and India-specific regulatory requirements.

Vendor & Financial Management

• Manageregional vendor and service provider relationships, ensuring SLAs meet business needs.

• Optimizeregional infrastructure spend and support contract negotiations in collaboration with global procurement.

Modernization & Efficiency

• Driveregional modernization initiatives to reduce technical debt and improve operational efficiency.

• Ensure Mumbai infrastructure integrates seamlessly intoglobal platforms and transformation programs.

Business and Strategic Impact

This role ensures Mumbai’s infrastructure estate operates atenterprise-grade reliability and security, enabling:

• Real-time trading systems andlow-latency market data

• Secure client reporting anddigital servicing platforms

• Critical business applications supporting global operations

By delivering robust and modernized infrastructure, the Mumbai Regional Head will ensure Russell Investments’India hub continues to scale, meet regulatory obligations, and serve as a foundation forglobal business success.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;MBA a plus.

• 20+ years of IT infrastructure experience with5+ years in leadership roles managing regional or large-scale teams.

• Experience leadingoffshore or shared service delivery teams is strongly preferred.

• Strong expertise in:

• Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments

• Virtualization (VMware) andEnterprise Networking (Cisco, Palo Alto)

• Automation & DevOps tools (Terraform, Kubernetes, GitLab)

• Proven experience inregulated industries, preferablyfinancial services.

• Strong understanding ofcybersecurity, compliance, and audit frameworks including India-specific requirements.

• Demonstrated ability totranslate business needs into secure, reliable, and scalable solutions.

• Excellentstakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills across global teams.
