Working within our dedicatedRadiation Oncology service, you’ll become part of a close-knit multidisciplinary team focused on providing high-quality, patient-centred care throughout each patient’s radiation therapy journey.
This is a great opportunity for an RN looking for the flexibility of casual work while continuing to deliver meaningful, hands-on patient care in a supportive clinical environment. - Undertake direct patient care including wound management and medication administration in accordance with practice protocols.
- Effectively manage the nursing needs of patients attending the clinic each day.
- Work closely with radiation therapists, medical physicists, patient services and other members of the multidisciplinary team to support coordinated patient care.
- Ensure all patient interactions and clinical information are appropriately documented, communicated and actioned.
- Monitor and maintain procedures, protocols, practices and clinical guidelines in line with best-practice Radiation Oncology nursing standards.
- Follow medication management protocols and clinical governance requirements.
- Use ISBAR communication for patient handover and communication with relevant health and allied health services.
- Demonstrate reliability, flexibility and a commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience.
We’re interested in hearing from people who:
- Hold current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Ideally have a minimum of two years’ post-graduate nursing experience.
- Have previous oncology or cancer care experience, although this is not essential as Radiation Oncology nursing training will be provided.
