Warehouse & Inventory Manager

We are looking for a Warehouse & Inventory Manager to be a key T3 leadership teammate responsible for overseeing inventory operations across multiple locations. This position ensures accurate inventory management, minimizes shrinkage, and drives operational excellence through effective team leadership and accountability. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong organizational skills and the ability to lead and develop a team of local warehouse leaders.

What You’ll Do

Inventory Management: 

• Establish lagging Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for Warehouse and Inventory including, Direct Materials as % of sales, Shrinkage, Inventory turnover, and more in conjunction with IT and Finance. 

• Establish leading KPI’s Warehouse and Inventory including the effectiveness to moving inventory from suppliers à warehouse à lockers / bins à trucks à jobs. 

• Oversee and maintain the integrity of the inventory management system across all locations.  

• Ensure accurate stock levels, timely reconciliations, and compliance with corporate standards.  

• Manage the cycle count and full inventory count process (both vehicle and warehouse), in accordance with a published schedule. Ensure compliance at all locations. 

• Oversee inventory integration projects ensuring accurate system set up, team training, and overall process changes. 

Shrinkage Control: 

• Develop and implement strategies to minimize inventory loss and shrinkage.  

• Monitor and analyze shrinkage reports, identifying root causes, and corrective actions.  

• Collaborate with Finance Team or accurate financial reporting. 

Team Leadership & Development:  

• Hire warehouse and inventory leaders for each branch in conjunction with the General Mangers 

• Directly manage local warehouse managers/supervisors, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.  

• Conduct regular training sessions to ensure team proficiency in inventory processes and systems.  

• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.  

Operational Excellence:  

• Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory and warehouse operations.  

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and improve efficiency.  

• Oversee staffing at all locations, ensuring adequate support to support operational needs.  

• Act as a liaison between vendors and the company; take an active role in negotiation of pricing and contracts to ensure best pricing and service standards.   

• Set the standard for warehouse and truck cleanliness and safety. Ensure safety audits and conducted and appropriate actions are taken to improve as needed.  

Reporting & Analysis:  

• Prepare and present inventory performance reports to senior leadership.  

• Utilize data analytics to identify trends and drive informed decision-making. 

What You Need

Education:High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field is preferred. 
 

Experience:  

• 5+ years of experience in warehouse and inventory management in a multi-location environment. 

• Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving accountability. 

• Experience with successful integrations of new companies into inventory systems. 

• Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and ERP software. 

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. 

• Experience with plumbing, drains, and HVAC is preferred. 

• A thorough understanding of warehouse pick, pack, and ship processes is needed. 

Computer Skills:Proficient with all Microsoft platforms.  Must be able to accurately type with 40 WPM average. Strong Excel skills. Experience with computer-based inventory management systems is necessary. 

Certifications & Licenses:Valid Driver's License with limited violations (see Auto Insurance Guidelines)
