Quality Engineer II

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Create, review, and executetest cases,test scenarios, andtest plans for web and mobile applications.
• Performfunctional, regression, integration, smoke, and system testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools likeJIRA,Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, clarify doubts, and ensure proper test coverage.
• ConductAPI testing using tools likePostman orSwagger.
• Validate UI/UX consistency and application behavior across devices/platforms.
• Performdatabase validation using basic SQL queries.
• Participate inAgile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimations.
• Provide concise and clear test reports for stakeholders.
• Work with the automation team to identify test cases for automation and contribute to simple automation scripts.

Must-Have Skills

• 4+ years of experience inManual Testing.
• Strong knowledge ofPDLC,SDLC,STLC, andDefect Lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience withtest case design techniques (boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, etc.).
• Familiarity withAPI Testing (Postman, REST APIs, Swagger).
• Exposure toautomation tools such asPlaywright.
• Experience in Agile environments.
• Knowledge of SQL for database validation.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Leverage AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or similar technologies to improve test design, analysis, documentation, and productivity.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of version-control tools likeGit.
• Experience in testing cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter) is a plus.
• HealthCare billing domain knowledge.
