Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator

About the Job

We are looking for a professional Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator with a safety and work health license who can bring their experience in occupational risk factors to promote a healthy and safe workspace environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge about normativity and be responsible, engaged, and purposeful. 

As Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator, You Will…

• Supervise and mentor staff to complete assigned projects, overall budget, schedules, and performance standards.
• Establish systems for monitoring workplace safety risks and environmental impacts by analyzing work processes, materials, equipment, and the work habits of employees.
• Ensure policies meet compliance and legal requirements.
• Manage the telework inspections.
• Ensure intervention in the occupational, health, and safety management system.
• Monitor physiotherapy interns and absenteeism cases.
• Monitor occupational, health, and safety management system indicators.
• Organize and develop training programs to meet specific training needs.
• Be responsible for writing the accomplishment reports.

As Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator, You Need…

• A post-secondary degree or equivalent (preferred).
• Legal knowledge in Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Previous experience in administrative or healthcare environments.
• Experience handling large-scale operations (optional).
• Previous experience in a leadership position. 
• The ability to work both independently and in a team setting within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Exceptional time management, organizational, and prioritization skills to complete work on time.
• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills (English B2).
