The Position

Job description 

The Senior ERP Platform Engineer defines tasks for others and drives medium to large-scale initiatives across a product or product line. In this strategic role, you will focus on engineering, managing, andoptimizing complex enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms, such as SAP, to ensure robust performance, scalability, and seamless integration. You will act as a coach andlead for other engineers, excel in stakeholder negotiations, and provide clear direction for mid- to long-term goals. By actively contributing to technical knowledge, inspiring innovation, and providing global-level support for technological initiatives, you will ensure the highest standards of ERP platform delivery and operational excellence. 

Description of the area 

Job Responsibilities 

• Scope / (ContentLeadership) & Accountability/Problem Solving: Defines tasks for others and successfully drives medium to large (M/L) initiatives across a Product or Product Line. Challenges others in a growth-enabling way, effectivelyleverages team strengths, and acts as a coach and lead for other platform engineers. 

• Stakeholder Management:Demonstrates a strong grasp of stakeholder ecosystems and their needs, excelling in negotiations and partnerships for mutual benefits. Provides clear direction to mid- to long-term goals andobjectivesregarding ERP platform strategies. 

• Impact/Strategy: Provides global-level support for innovative and technological initiatives. Actively gives speeches and shares knowledge at global and international events, and drives tech universities, Centers of Excellence (CoEs), and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Engaged in Chapter/Site related activities. 

• Complexity / (ProductSize):Operates at the Product Line, Chapter, Domain, or Site level, making a direct impact on the growth and engagement of other chapter members. 

• Business / Technical ability: Actively contributes to the advancement of technical knowledge within the field through publications, presentations, and mentorship (e.g., playing the role of capability owner/hero). Inspires innovation,is capable of driving innovative solutions in line with emerging technologytrends, and engages in buildingnew approaches to existing ERP platform challenges. 

Qualifications 

Education / Experience 

• Demonstrated experience defining tasks, coaching engineers, and successfully driving medium to large-scale infrastructure or platform initiatives across a product or product line. 

• Proventrack record of managing and providing advanced platform support for complex ERP systems (e.g., SAP) throughout the application lifecycle. 

• Experienceparticipating in global knowledge-sharing events and navigating complex stakeholder ecosystems. 

Technical Skills 

• Deepexpertise in ERP Technology Management, with the ability to engineer, manage, andoptimize complex ERP environments. 

• Strong understanding of system architecture, platform integrations, and how individual technical components fit into larger enterprise systems. 

• Capability to drive innovative solutions aligned with the latest technology trends in ERP, cloud concepts, and DevOps principles. 

Additional Qualifications 

• Exceptional leadership, coaching, and mentorship skills, specifically inleveraging team strengths and challenging others in a growth-enabling way. 

• Strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of building mutually beneficial partnerships across stakeholder ecosystems and providing direction for mid-to long-term technical goals.
