The main responsibility of this position is to review documentation, approve, and release into production all incoming raw materials used within the dietary supplement manufacturing process. Additional responsibilities include the review of all documentation and analytical results for release of finished product. This position works closely with production and leadership to resolve any final product discrepancies. This position also supports the quality leadership team with any quality control issues out on the GMP floor.

- Perform quality oversight by verifying and reviewing production functions.
- Support manufacturing by troubleshooting and helping to resolve internal out-of-specification processes and conditions.
- Perform necessary analysis per established procedures as in-process checks throughout the production process
- Support manufacturing with assignment of raw materials, packaging, and labeling during the production process.
- To have understanding and ability to run basic analytical tests as needed.
- To support the leadership team during investigations for any non-conformances.
- Facilitate the development of methods and procedires for the quality control/quality assurance team
- Assemble any raw material or finished product samples for contract laboratory analysis.
- Other duties as assigned
- Moves and/or stacks bins/metal plates/bucket of materials and may load tubs of materials to work centers as applicable.
- Checks and corrects any conditions which are not conducive to a safe, clean workplace. Report any safety problems immediately.
- Maintains clean and orderly work areas including cleaning machines, breakdown of machine, tools and area around workstation.
- Recognizes out of control events, discontinues operations and continues operation only when out of control event has been remedied successfully.
- Complete and verify documentation with accuracy.
- Ability to be at the physical location of the job at the designated shift assigned.
- Will be asked to train someone and/or participate in a task force to improve company procedures or operations.
- Ability to effectively problem-solve.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
- Must be able to successfully pass all job-related tests and certifications required for working in a cGMP, quality environment including but not limited to inspections and GMP requirements to perform essential functions of the job. Must re-qualify every year on all job-related tests and certifications as job or qualifications require.

WHAT MAKES YOU THE RIGHT FIT
- One of the below criteria must be met
- A.S degree in Food Science, Biology, or Chemistry & 2 years experience in manufacturing environment, preferably within quality control
- B.S degree in Food Science, Biology, or Chemistry
- 4 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in quality control
- Experience with FDA/cGMP compliance preferredAbility to read and write & communicate in English, use basic shop math skills, algebra, and basic computer skills.
- Experience with FDA/cGMP compliance is preferred.
- Laboratory experience highly desirable
- A legal right to work in the United States.
- Must pass a drug screen and a background check in accordance with IFF standards.
- Must adhere to Company safety policies and wear the required personal protective equipment.
- Must be able to work while wearing a self-contained breathing apparatus.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation
