Reporting to the Director of the McGill Bieler School of Environment, the course lecturer delivers lectures in a team-taught class. The co-course lecturer will be required to present lectures that cover micro evolution, macro evolution, and cultural evolution as well as the relationships between physical geosciences with biological evolution.
Co-grades assignments and end of term examination and ensure that marking standards are appropriate and uniformly applied, in coordination with co-instructors and teaching assistants. Provides study aids for students and will respond to academic requests from students.
Teaching Qualification Requirements:
PhD in environmental or biological sciences or physical anthropology or geosciences or other environment‐related fields relevant to the topic of the course. Demonstrated experience through course work and research.
Demonstrated experience through course work and research with an emphasis on evolutionary biology and ecology and their impact on Earth and evolution. Prior experience in team teaching at a university level is preferred.
As this is a team taught course, experience will need to complement the team expertise.
